The LTC3255 high-voltage step-down charge pump offers the robustness and simplicity of an LDO while attaining efficiencies close to that of a switching regulator. The device is a member of Linear’s growing family of high-voltage charge pumps. The IC is a 4V to 48V capable, 50mA buck charge pump with transient and reverse voltage protection, low output noise and ripple, and compact packaging. The LTC3255 is a general purpose device that can be used in industrial control, factory automation, sensors, housekeeping power supplies, and current-boosting regulator applications.
