On this slide, a telecom unit is shown in which the devices require thermal management due to the power being generated within the unit. A large heat source is typically the amplifiers, as these will be used to send the signal from the radio. It will also have a corresponding receiver which sometimes will also require some heat management, but often will not be as high powered. It  can be seen in the picture that on this unit alone there are three different thicknesses of material being used. This can be determined by the design of the housing, the type of component being used (they are not all the same size and height) and lastly the power they dissipate. T-Global can and will manufacture custom molded shapes to fit a specific need. This can be a nice solution as it eliminates extra labor to place additional pads and the packaging. The logistics and packaging can be unique to the customer requirement.
