ST took an older family of three parts and created the STW81200 to cover all the frequency ranges, and an even broader range of frequencies from around 47 MHz up to 6 GHz with one part. It is convenient because ST increased the integration and added the Vregs (LDOs) and other features, such that it can be very price-competitive in a full system environment. Phase noise performance has been improved, and if the user needs to operate in a really low power mode, it can operate in them with a little bit of tradeoff for performance. The STW81200 allows users to address a wide range of applications. A full evaluation kit is available, as well as the GUI software, that can be provided to customers so they can start evaluating the STW81200 right now.
