Aside from the standard dual cantilever design, the KK family also offers many enhancements for high vibration, high shock, and high pressure environments. The Cat-Ear terminals offer two extra points of contact for high pressure applications. The Trifurcon™ terminal and the KK Box-style terminals offer multiple points of contact that surround the header pin in high vibration environments, ensuring the electrical contact. Anti-fish-hooking terminals offer an extra crimp point for applications that require a longer strip length, and the tangs prevent the copper wire strands from tangling. All KK terminals are offered in brass and most are offered in phosphor bronze base metals. The operating temperatures for the KK family are determined by the base metal of the terminal, so please be sure to check the product specifications for the terminals before designing KK into extreme temperature environments.
