The Molex KK family is a wire-to-board and board-to-board single row connector family in 2.50mm, 2.54mm, 3.96mm, and 5.08mm pitch for up to 13A power, and 600V. The discerning feature of the KK terminal is the “dual cantilever” design. A square post contact area keeps contact with the male pin header through a spring-like contact. This contact area was designed to provide an ideal surface to wipe potential oxide film formation, especially on tin-plated contacts. A locking tang prevents terminal back-out once loaded in the housing and wire gages range from 22-30AWG for 2.54mm pitch applications, and 18-26AWG for 3.96mm pitch applications.
