With the IMD-3000, InnoSenT wanted to create a user-friendly radar solution that gives functionality access to everybody without having to acquire radar know-how or waste time waiting for further development. The IMD-3000 can be used directly as a digital trigger and comes with easy integration and set up; simply connect the radar system to a power supply. It is possible to configure the range between 5 to 15 cm with the potentiometer on-site; then the user connects the radar system via open collector output with the final device for receiving the trigger impulse. At that point, if not already done, integrate the sensor in a product or place it behind a covering. The installer can do this with a simple double-sided adhesive tape on the antenna surface. For building a radome, InnoSenT recommends positioning the sensor within a 3 mm distance to the radome, as the optimal thickness of the radome would be 3 mm. After having connected and installed the IMD-3000, the system is immediately ready for detection. In order to trigger the application reaction, make a simple hand movement in front of the antenna.
