Resistor networks have many advantages over discrete components. Integrating multiple resistors into one package increases reliability by reducing the number of solder connections and board traces. The shorter internal connections also reduce inductance which can cause problems at high data rates. Another major benefit is reduced board space and increased manufacturing efficiency by reducing the number of components. All these benefits produce significant cost savings and performance advantages over discrete resistors.
