Finally, temperature rise should be considered when using a connector for any power charging situations or applications. When running the higher 2.5 amps of current in the ZX series, the temperature rise is still well below 25C. The ZX series can handle 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 amps (depending on the configuration) when using pins 1 and 5 for power. Signal lines (2, 3, 4) will still only be carrying 0.5 amps.
