By contrast the LTC3675 has seven high-efficiency switching rails: four configurable buck regulators, one buck-boost regulator, one boost regulator and an LED driver. The LTC3675 does not have processor specific hooks like the LTC3589 does, which include direct processor support and control such as register mapping for I²C command startup, dynamic voltage scaling, and a Freescale-specific standby pin for toggling dynamic voltage scaling. Finally, the devices are offered in thermally enhanced QFN packages, with different footprints; the LTC3589 in a 6mm x 6mm 40-lead QFN and the LTC3675 in a 4mm x 7mm 44-lead QFN.
