High Performance X2 Film Capacitors, the F862 Series Slide 2

Harsh environmental conditions for an X2 film capacitor are caused when high temperature combines with humidity. It may affect the main capacitor electric parameters such as capacitance and dissipation factor. The capacitance decrease will reduce the rate of current passing through the capacitor and in case of application in series to the mains, will affect the load/device functionality. The increase of the dissipation factor will affect the self-heating due to increase of the power to be dissipated.
