Female cable versions include attachment features for screening braid, providing strain relief and mechanical protection for additional performance improvements. To assemble simply feed cabling through the metal braid, then feed cabling through the backshell, terminate the cables to the contacts, insert the contacts into the housing, slide the backshell onto the housing, insert the jackscrews and secure with circlips. Lastly, secure the braid to the backshell with a Band-It tie.
