KEMET developed the Class I U2J dielectric for MLCCs to provide low noise, low loss, and improved capacitance stability over X7R-based capacitors, while also providing higher capacitance values than C0G. U2J is a low noise solution similar to C0G, but with up to 120% more capacitance, with values up to 470 nF available in case sizes from 0402 to 1812. The dielectric offers an operating temperature of -55°C to +125°C with a predictable change in capacitance over the operating temperature, and also retains over 99% of its nominal capacitance at its full rated voltage. U2J MLCCs are AEC-Q200 qualified and are well-suited for critical timing, tuning, and other circuits, or in applications subject to temperature cycling or board flexure. available with voltage ratings from 10 to 50 V and in case sizes from 0402 to 1812.
