V15W2 Basic Switch for Hazardous Locations | Datasheet Preview
This basic switch is a fully-certified switching solution for operation in Zone 2 environments. Global regulations are driving change in the refrigerants market for achieving solutions that decrease global warming potential. Some refrigerants including R-290, propane, and R600a, isobutane, are mildly explosive; to meet regulations manufacturers must update their designs. This V15W2 basic switch fulfills the market need for manufacturers to satisfy their safety goals based on global refrigerant requirements and the IEC-60079 standard. This switch uses the same footprint as the V15 and V7 switches, which are on the market today. Applications include ice makers and consumer refrigeration, chillers, A/C units, condensing units, and Zone 2 HVAC systems.
