In summary, there are many types of interfaces available for industrial applications, either wireless interfaces such as Zigbee, W-HART or Wi-Fi, or wired interfaces like the 4-20 mA current loop, IO-Link, and HART. Texas Instruments offers a number of solutions supported by MSP microcontrollers built around 4-20 mA, IO-Link, and HART protocols that reduce time to market and makes development cycles more efficient. TI also provides a number of reference design libraries, including schematics or block diagrams, BOMs, design files, and test reports supporting the industrial communication protocols that help make the design and development cycle much shorter.
