High-speed fuses are used in a wider range of applications than general purpose industrial fuses. Their datasheets contain much more information needed to properly specify the fuse for many applications. High-speed fuse datasheets include many characteristic curves representing the fuse's electrical performance capability and showing how two electrical parameters may correlate. When interpreted properly, these curves can help designers select the optimal fuse for protecting a specific semiconductor device.
