So how does the IMD-2000 detect movements? The radar sensor continuously sends and receives microwave energy in order to detect moving objects or people in front of its antenna. The user can configure its parameters easily and adjust it individually to the local scenario in order to achieve desired detection results. Subsequently an impulse can be triggered by a simple move in front of the antenna within the detection area. The IMD-2000 can even detect slow moving people, objects, or vehicles. It also recognizes movements of hidden targets, for example a disguised person. The performance is unaffected by weather conditions or clothing. Movements outside the detection range will be ignored. Environmental changes caused by a bubblegum, or a color sprayed on the covering will be learned in, so that the device can reliably offer its performance. Impulses can be forwarded to a linked device and release a technical function, for example switching on or off a light.
