Direct Digital Synthesis Tutorial Series (2 of 7): The Accumulator

This tutorial focuses on the accumulator, the first of the three main building blocks of a basic DDS. There will be a discussion of the accumulator, in particular the overflow accumulator, and a review of the frequency tuning word. The standard and alternate accumulator equations will be shown and examples of their application will be given.
