Image of Hirose Electric's DF50 - Board to wire, rugged, small form factor connector systemHirose has introduced the DF50 / 50A series, a board-to-wire 1.0 mm pitch connector that significantly reduces the required PC board mounting area. This series features a positive locking mechanism located on the front of the connector and is a high quality, high density alternative to side latching connectors. The latch provides a clear, tactile click sensation as well as a distinct audible click, regardless of the number of repetitive cycles. This innovative latch prevents the uneven locking that is commonly attributed to side locks and incomplete mating. This provides security that is invaluable when dealing with high vibration and other critical applications. Pin counts range from 20, 30, 40 and 50 for the double row (DF50) and 2 to 16 for the single row (DF50A). Current rating is 1 A maximum per pin.
