The 5V49EE702 is a seven-output clock synthesizer supporting both single-ended and differential clock outputs, with 1.8-3.3V VDDO capability. The device features four independently configurable PLLs for frequency generation, two of which can employ spread spectrum technology to reduce system EMI. This device also features six on-chip configurable register settings, allowing the user to store up to six completely different clock trees on a single device. The registers are selected using hardware strap pins SEL2:0, and provide frequency selection capability, spread percentage selection capability, or the capability of using a single device to fulfill multiple project BOMs. Shown on the right side of the block diagram are the clock outputs, which can be used individually as single-ended outputs, or tied together in pairs as differential outputs. The device features a 400kHz I²C port for in system-programming upon power-up, or on the fly. The 5V49EE702 is an industrial temperature grade component and is available in a small form factor 4mm x 4mm 24-pin QFN package. For additional information on reducing EMI please refer to the Renesas product training module on spread spectrum on the DigiKey website.
