When opening the VersaClock™ III software, the user must first select the desired part number. The GUI will then load, and the reference frequency as well as the desired output frequencies can be inserted. The user can also select whether to employ spread spectrum, direction and amount by clicking the “A” or “B” box in the corresponding frequency output row. When the user clicks the calculate button in the bottom left, the software will automatically optimize the PLL value settings per the entered requirements, and indicate which frequencies will be present on the output pins in the Pin Map on the right side of the screen. The user can also select the configurable registers and enter completely different input/output frequencies in each of the six registers.
