The VersaClock™ III production family is comprised of twenty total devices; twelve that are crystal oscillator based and eight that are VCXO based. All products run at 3.3V and have four on-chip programmable PLLs for frequency generation. Two of these PLLs have spread spectrum capability to reduce system EMI. These products employ an EEPROM for in-system programming and/or re-programmability using a standard 400kHz I²C port. All devices have six non-volatile configuration settings that can individually be programmed with completely different frequencies. This feature allows the user to have frequency selection on a particular output, employ various amounts of spread spectrum on an output, or combine multiple different clock trees into one device to fulfill different project timing BOMs with a single device.
