Polymers also have ESR and capacitance advantages over MnO2. When comparing the ESR vs Frequency of the two technologies, the polymer not only has up to an order of magnitude less of ESR over the frequency range, but the change of ESR over the temperature range is minimal. Lower ESR results in more efficient circuits. Polymer capacitors also retain more actual capacitance than MnO2 over frequency.
