With its three different package variants, the TLE4973 can cover negative and positive currents ranging from 0 to 2,000 A. For current values lower than 120 A and if the application allows it, the internal current rail package TISON-8 can be used. For currents less than 500 A, the TDSON-16 can be used along a PCB conduction rail. For currents larger than 500 A, the VSON-6 can be used in two possible configurations: lateral and vertical insertion. The type of insertion for the bus bar will depend on the specifics of the application, but normally the vertical insertion is more commonly used for high currents.
