A second key application for the TLE4973 is a battery monitoring system (BMS). For this application, the requirements include a high ASIL rating, low power, overcurrent, and a small low-cost form factor. To comply with these requirements, the TLE4973 offers the following: a diverse sensor methodology, low power losses, overcurrent detection pin, and small package sizes. The TLE4973 can be used in many other automotive applications like onboard chargers (OBC), DC/DC converters, and battery disconnect switches. It can also be used in multiple nonautomotive applications like robotics, industrial inverters, motor control and protection, power distribution units, and low-orbit satellites.
