Image of Littelfuse's ESD 30kV Avalanche Unidirectional TVS Diode – SC11xx Series Littelfuse has fabricated a new proprietary ESD avalanche technology diode for I/O pins to provide a high level of protection for electronics equipment that could experience destructive electrostatic discharges (ESD). These robust diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30 kV contact or air discharge per IEC 610000-4-2 standards. SC1105 series parts can also safely dissipate 80 A of 8/20 µs surge current with very low clamping voltages. These diodes are great for applications where ESD discharge is always present as in point-of-sale terminals or computer peripherals.
