Most 40 W power supplies in the market offer this level of power in a 2” x 4” package, the ECF40 offers a 44% smaller footprint than these designs. A few manufacturers offer 40 W in a 2” x 3” package, until now the smallest footprint available, the ECF40 is 25% smaller than these designs while maintaining a low profile, ideal for monitors, broadcast and communications equipment. Efficiency is significantly higher, by up to 6%, resulting in a significant reduction in heat loss and increased reliability in the end system. The ECF40 series achieves all this while maintaining the strategy of having fully specified products with no temperature derating until 50°C, full power at 90 VAC input and level B emissions.
