The ECF40 is a 40 W AC-DC open frame power supply. The product achieves this power level in the smallest package size available in the market at 3” x 1.5” with a low profile of just 1.1”. Most 40 W products offer a 2” x 4” package, with a few offering 2” x 3”, but nothing anywhere near this size. The units are convection cooled with no additional airflow required, even at full power. To achieve XP’s ‘green power’ status, assisting customers in meeting the very latest energy requirements, not only does XP need to have a high efficiency product, it also needs to meet the very low no load power requirements. Both ITE and medical safety agency approvals are standard across the range to enable the product to be used in as many industrial and healthcare applications as possible. Many products of this type de-rate considerably for temperature and input voltage, this compact supply has the same derating rules as previous XP releases.
