The MAX30001 supports IEC60601-2-47*, which covers the basic safety and performance of Ambulator Electrocardiographic systems. It has a typical noise floor of 1.71µV peak-to-peak, which is lower than the 10µV peak-to-peak provided by the next closest solution. This enables performance in noisy environments such as those on the human body. Its package can also fit into many small form factor applications, such as monitoring patches. Finally, the MAX30001 has very low supply current requirements, enabling long battery life to support monitoring over multiweek periods.
