In summary, Vishay's VDRUS series is comprised of high-surge-current, high-temperature varistors that are UL and VDE recognized to 125°C operating temperature, without derating. This series has a high current surge to size ratio, up to 13kA for the 20mm size. They are coated with a halogen-free, high-temperature-resilient silicone coating. There are four disc sizes available: 7mm, 10mm, 14mm, and 20mm, which have continuous voltage ratings from 115VRMS to 680VRMS (150VDC to 895VDC). The VDRUS series is a good choice for overvoltage and transient voltage circuit protection in higher temperature environments.
