The PSE series of switches contains piezo technology and is available in point illumination, ring illumination, and non-illuminated versions. This metal pushbutton switch provides features that make it ideal for harsh environmental conditions and as a vandal resistant input device. SCHURTER piezo switches contain no moving parts, have a sturdy metal housing made of anodized aluminum or stainless steel and are hermetically sealed. Virtually no material wear or mechanical fatigue occurs, resulting in a rated lifetime of greater than twenty million switching cycles.  In addition to these already proven features, the operating temperature is extended to –40°C to 85°C for the normally open switches. The switches can be used in outside applications where extreme temperatures and temperature fluctuations may occur.
