Flex Contact is Samtec’s variety of contact systems designed to meet virtually any application need, from high reliability to simple and cost-efficient, from high retention to low profile, from pass-through to elevated. The Tiger Eye Contact system, Samtec’s most reliable, is a three-finger, heat treated beryllium copper contact and is available with three or four points of contact. For high retention, cost sensitive applications, the ideal choice would be the Tiger Buy tuning fork design. Samtec’s Tiger Claw contact system is idea for ultra low profile designs and pass through applications while the Tiger Beam is a basic, low-cost system ideal for applications with minimal mating cycles. Also, for signal integrity needs, the robust Edge Rate Contact is high speed and rugged and allows zippering during mating and unmating. This is a high cycle contact system rated to 500 cycles. Finally, Samtec offers precision machined contacts for those applications that require them.
