The term “fan curve” is often used to describe the performance of a particular fan. A typical fan curve is shown and is measured in volumetric flow rate and static pressure. Volumetric flow rate is most often measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM) or cubic meters per hour when using metric units. Static pressure is measured in inches of water or Pascals for metric units. The “fan curve” represents the amount of air flow (CFM) a fan can deliver when working against a resistance or static pressure.
