F98-AS1 Fused Face-down Tantalum SMD

KYOCERA AVX introduces their F98-AS1 series tantalum caps

Image of Kyocera AVX's F98-AS1KYOCERA AVX has released the F98-AS1 series tantalum caps with fuse function, based on unique lead frameless face-down technology. These caps have higher capacitance in a smaller size because of packing larger tantalum anodes than conventional J-LEAD type fused caps. The 0805 (2012 metric) fused type is the smallest on the market for fused tantalum SMD devices, and the 0.9mm maximum height is the thinnest in the market. They protect from large inrush current by stable and reliable fuse activation at short-circuit failure. They also have low and flat impedance over a wide frequency range due to low ESL by lead-frameless structure.
