Combining a passion for sci-fi aesthetics and custom computing, this project explores the creation of a unique cyberdeck powered by the LattePanda Mu. Designed and built by Ben, a web designer from the United States, the device showcases what’s possible when modular hardware meets creativity.

Project Introduction
This project is a compact, custom-built cyberdeck powered by the LattePanda Mu. It includes an 11.6-inch touchscreen, a slide-out mechanical keyboard with trackpad, and a CNC-machined aluminum case. The device dual-boots Windows 11 and Linux Mint, and is used for programming, writing, and media.

The Making Process
1. Concept & Planning
Created initial sketches and defined layout based on screen and keyboard dimensions.

2. Custom Keyboard Design
Designed and built a custom mechanical keyboard using KiCad and QMK firmware.

3. CAD Modeling
Modeled the enclosure and internal structure in Fusion 360 to ensure all components would fit.

4. Custom Carrier Board
Designed a custom carrier board for the LattePanda Mu, fabricated it, and verified its functionality.

5. Enclosure Fabrication
Fabricated the enclosure using 3D-printed PLA parts and CNC-machined aluminum pieces.
