Littelfuse SP1053 and SP1054 Series Diodes | DigiKey Daily

Littelfuse offers their SP1053 and SP1054 series of transient voltage suppressor diodes. These unidirectional TVS diodes, which come in ultra-small DFN, hermetically-sealed plastic packages, are designed for providing ESD protection to I/O and power ports. These avalanche breakdown diodes protect each I/O pin to provide a high level of protection for electronic equipment that may experience destructive electrostatic discharges. These robust diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes up to plus-or-minus 30 kilovolts without performance degradation. Additionally, each diode can safely withstand current surges, up to 2.5 amps, at a very low clamping voltage. Ideal applications include both consumer products, such as smartphones, camcorders, and portable medical devices, and retail products, including point-of-sale terminals and identification modules.
