Image of RFX's RFX-21 Micro Miniature SMD CrystalRFX Group’s RFX-21 micro-miniature ceramic packaged crystals have a footprint of just 2.05 mm x 1.65 mm and a height of only 0.45 mm. It is available in fundamental mode frequencies from 12 MHz to 96 MHz. The vacuum-sealed 4-pad design is available with an operating temperature range out to -40°C to +85°C, an adjustment tolerance of ±20 ppm at +25°C, and frequency stability down to ±10 ppm.

Shunt capacitance C0 is 3 pF max with drive levels between 0.01 mW and 0.1 mW. Aging is limited to ±3 ppm per year while ESR is between 30 Ω minimum and 180 Ω maximum. In line with the requirements of the latest generation of ASICs and microprocessors, the load capacitance can be customer-specified down to 8 pF or series.

The RFX-21 is fully RoHS and REACH compliant and production quantities are delivered on 8 mm tape-and-reel with 3,000 pieces per reel.
