PISA-B Multi-Channel Electronic Circuit Protection
PULS' 8-channel, 24 V electronic circuit breakers for load and power protection help optimize the availability of users' DC 24 V systems
The PISA-B multi-channel electronic circuit protection device is an addition to PULS' various DIN rail switched mode power supplies and DC power products, offering many solutions for demanding applications. Among the most demanding applications are those requiring monitoring of current on multiple circuits from a single large power supply.
The PISA-B multi-channel electronic circuit protection device is an addition to PULS' various DIN rail switched mode power supplies and DC power products, offering many solutions for demanding applications. Among the most demanding applications are those requiring monitoring of current on multiple circuits from a single large power supply.
The PISA-B electronic circuit breaker protection series adds four 8-channel circuit breakers to the PISA line. PISA-B are DIN rail mountable 8-channel protection modules with integrated electronic fuses for 24 V systems. They distribute the current of a large power source to eight output channels, each of lower current, allowing smaller wires to be used. If an overload or short condition occurs on one or more of the channels, that channel is tripped to protect and maintain the other loads and the primary 24 VDC power supply.
- Space savings: only 52 mm wide
- Easy (simplified) wiring: negative pole included for pass-through wiring
- Maximizes uptime
- Greater flexibility and reliability
- Increased security: integrated PIN protection (parameter settings can be locked by PIN code)
- Set it and forget it: push-in terminals for fast and toolless installation
- User-friendly, modular design with an LED display
- Fast expansion (up to 8 devices can be connected in parallel via bus bars)
- Reliability tripping: 8 current controlled output channels with individual tripping
- Adjustable output currents for each channel (except NEC class 2 models)
- Selective tripping of overloaded channels (except NEC class 2 models)
- Output currents displayed live on LED matrix
- Remote reset or local reset via pushbuttons
- Fail-safe function is a backup protection feature that can save lines from overheating
- Common signaling relay contact for tripped channels (-B1 versions)
- Digital coded signal output for tripped channels (-B4 versions)
- ON/OFF feature for each output
- Factory automation: power distribution for conveyor belts and sensors
- Machine building: packaging machines, injection molding machines, or CNC machines
- Industrial controls
- Process controls
- Monitoring and measuring
- Conveyor control systems in automotive manufacturing: I/O modules, display monitors, camera control, PLC
