The BXT2-17TF from Opto Diode is a high-performance, two-stage thermoelectrically cooled lead selenide (PbSe) infrared detector, specifically designed for targeted mid-infrared detection. It features an integrated 4.7 µm bandpass filter, enabling precise and selective sensing of infrared radiation associated with carbon monoxide (CO) absorption. Housed in a durable TO-37 package, the detector offers excellent sensitivity and stability, making it well-suited for applications such as CO monitoring, industrial emissions analysis, and process control systems.
The BXT2-17TF features a 1 mm² active area and operates at an element temperature of -30°C, achieving a minimum D* of 2.4 x 1010 (cm Hz1/2W-1). Its two-stage thermoelectric cooling significantly reduces noise, enhancing signal clarity in demanding environments. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the BXT2-17TF provides excellent performance across demanding industrial and environmental conditions.
