Fusibles

Un fusible est un dispositif conçu pour arrêter le flux de courant lorsqu'il dépasse une certaine limite (protection contre la surintensité). Les dispositifs fonctionnent en créant une ouverture dans un matériau situé entre deux bornes d'extrémité. Le dispositif génère une hausse de température qui fait fondre le matériau à mesure que le flux de courant change. La durée nécessaire pour que le dispositif fonde est souvent définie comme action rapide ou retardée.
