Each year, Molex releases approximately fifty additional products, including both additions to the Molex portfolio and extensions to established ranges. Here are some of the highlights:

Mini-Fit Housings and Headers

Molex has introduced multiple housings and headers in the Mini-Fit family including Sigma, Versa, and Max variants. Mini-Fit housings ensure connectors are fully mated with an easy-to-operate thumb latch, which also helps to prevent accidental unmating. The Mini-Fit connector family range offers panel-mount and vertical header options which maintain current rating through application surfaces or panels.

Cable Assemblies

Molex’s off-the-shelf range of cable assemblies continues to expand with multiple recent introductions including epoxy-coated NTC thermistors, Super Sabre, Pico-Blade, and EXtreme Guardian overmolded cable assemblies. These off-the-shelf cable assemblies help solve tool startup costs by providing a completed assembly that meets IPC specification design.

Antennas

Molex has extensive experience in antenna technologies from concept to completion. This expertise provides best-in-class solutions in ready-to-use RF antennas that significantly reduce engineering time and are compact, high-performing, and available in multiple form factors for all common antenna protocols and frequencies. Molex’s latest additions to the range include external LoRA antennas, on-metal Wi-Fi antennas, and multi-hub 5-in-1 antennas.

PCB Connectors

Molex’s broad range of PCB connectors has expanded further to include introductions in board-to-board and flexible cable options. The 5G mmWave flex-to-board connectors offer excellent signal integrity performance for high-speed and extreme RF applications. These connectors provide robust mating features and PCB real-estate savings ideal for mobile and other communications devices. Premo-Flex flat flexible cable jumpers, available in One-Touch and shielded versions, deliver durable and extra flexible PCB connection solutions and enable design engineers to maximize PCB space, delivery reliability, and reduced component costs.

High Power

Molex offers a wealth of high-power connectivity solutions that deliver high-current performance in the most demanding applications. The PowerPlane busbar power connectors provide superior electrical performance and are available in a float-mount design to facilitate blind-mating. Ideal for consumer, datacenter, networking, and industrial applications, the PowerPlane busbars also offer drop-in replacement for second source opportunities. In addition, Molex has released the Sentrality high-power pin and socket connector. This interconnect system introduces the eye-of-the-needle (EON) press-fit socket, a mezzanine-style board-to-board and board-to-busbar connector that offers self-aligning without soldering for enhanced design flexibility.

Tooling

Molex quality crimping tools ensure proper termination to Molex products, which is critical for any design. Molex's FCT crimp tooling includes a variety of mechanic, pneumatic, and hydraulic crimping tools and associated inserts/fixtures.

Industrial

The Woodhead ArcArrest 60 A switch-rated connector system from Molex can be used to disconnect loads while energized up to 60 A and can withstand resulting arcing without damage.
